In Calvados, a wooden, stone and zinc house has been designed to comply with RE2020 standards while blending into its natural surroundings.

The project managers chose the Causse collection from ORSOL, a light-coloured natural stone cladding that covers 90 m² of façades, including the entrance, garage ramp and terrace.

The colours are reminiscent of the stones of the Bessin plain, reinforcing the link with the Normandy region. The finish adds warmth and texture, while being in line with sustainable construction practices.

This project illustrates how natural stone cladding can become a central feature of a RE2020 house, combining aesthetics, sustainability and easy adaptability to European markets that are sensitive to contemporary architecture and sustainability.
