In the mountains, a contemporary chalet stands out for its generous volumes and mineral cladding, where stone and wood combine to create an architecture that is both warm and modern. The owners wanted a house in the ‘chalet’ spirit, but revisited with noble materials and clean lines.

For the façades and the fireplace wall, they chose light-coloured stone cladding, which adds relief and texture without weighing down the silhouette of the building. The beige joints enhance the effects of depth and give the façade a sculpted, almost handcrafted look. Nearly 200 m² of cladding was installed indoors and outdoors by the owners themselves with the help of friends, illustrating how easy it is to work with on a variety of surfaces.

The project extends to the pool house, designed as a space for socialising and relaxation, with a sauna, bar and cosy corner, in the same architectural style as the main house. The choice of materials and textures reinforces the idea of a harmonious living space, designed for well-being and sharing.

This chalet shows how contemporary stone cladding can become the central element of a wooden structure that is elegant, durable and easily exportable to European countries with an affinity for mountain construction and the use of natural materials.
