Bonding Primer PRIMOMUR

The bonding primer for facing stone creates an adhesive bond between the existing substrate and the adhesive mortar, while regulating the wall's absorption. It is a key step in preparing certain substrates before installing wall cladding.

This primer is suitable for interior substrates with high or uneven porosity: plasterboard, aerated concrete, rendered bricks, or painted walls. By evening out the surface, it improves the adhesive's behavior and ensures a more durable installation.

Packaged in 5-liter containers, it covers an average of 24 m², with a coverage that can vary between 16 and 32 m² depending on the thickness applied. It is recommended to use a long-pile roller, but spray application is also possible for professionals with the necessary equipment.
Directions for Use

Before application, the substrate must be dry, sound, clean, and level. All traces of plaster, paint, dust, or grease must be removed. Once the primer is applied, allow time to dry before applying the cladding.
Application Examples

Interiors, on plasterboard or aerated concrete walls: first apply the bonding primer, then the adhesive mortar appropriate for your cladding type (with or without joints).

Exteriors, this primer is used on certain specific walls in addition to a suitable undercoat, depending on the type of substrate.

Double gluing remains the recommended installation method: apply the adhesive to the wall using a 10 mm trowel, then a thin layer to the back of each cladding element.
Finishing

After installation and grouting, lightly brush to remove excess adhesive. Applying a water repellent can then be considered to extend the durability of the wall covering.
