Villa in Corsica enhanced by Roca cladding on a mesh

Villa in Corsica enhanced by Roca cladding on a mesh

In southern Corsica, a contemporary 350 m² villa blends perfectly into the rugged landscape thanks to its mineral cladding, designed as an extension of the local terrain.

The owners wanted modern architecture that would blend in with the surrounding rock, combining concrete, wood, plaster and stone cladding on several façades.

The architects chose a customised ROCA mesh cladding in Corse Rosé, a shade developed specifically by ORSOL. This greyish-pink hue echoes the tones of the local stone while remaining light and suited to a contemporary structure.

The result creates visual continuity between the house and the hillsides, as if the building had grown out of the landscape. This project illustrates how contemporary stone cladding can enhance a modern villa while respecting the identity of a region, an approach that can easily be replicated throughout Mediterranean Europe.
